Westerly State Airport (IATA: WST, ICAO: KWST) is a public airport turn up 2 land mile (three kilometre) southeastward of Westerly, in Washington County, Rhode Island, USA. It is principally a civil aviation airport, but there is also scheduled air hose service to Block Island supplied by New England Airlines.
Westerly State Airport is 1 of 6 active airports functioned by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. The other 5 airports include T.F. Green State Airport, Newport State Airport, North Central State Airport, Quonset State Airport, and Block Island State Airport.
Westerly State set about as a grass strip in the 1920s, and got the 2nd state-owned airport in the United States (after T.F. Green Airport) in the 1940s. The airport was paved and spread out when it went a U.S. Navy ground during World War II, due to its prime quantity place halfway between Boston and New York City.
