History

The airport was once named Waterloo Regional Airport but it modified its name in March 2004 after Northwest Airlines denoted that it would run daily voyages to Detroit. Established by Waterloo-Wellington Airport Commission in 1948 and finished in 1950, it went a civil aviation installation in 1969. It functions 24 60 minutes and 7 solar days a hebdomad.

On one October 2007, Bearskin Airlines commenced daily non-stop voyages to Ottawa.

Sunwing Airlines is offering voyages to Montego Bay, Jamaica from this airport set out December 2008. Due to the Boeing strike and aircraft detains, Sunwing will not be winging to Cancun; service to Jamaica will calm stay.
