Visalia Municipal Airport (IATA: VIS, ICAO: KVIS, FAA LID: VIS) is a public airport turn up 4 land mile (six kilometre) due west of the central downtown of Visalia, a town in Tulare County, California, United States. The airport is owned by the City of Visalia. It is largely used for civil aviation, but is assisted by 1 commercial air hose. Service is subsidised by the Essential Air Service programme.
On September 8, 2008, Great Lakes Airlines started service to LA/Ontario International Airport, turn up about 35 land mile (56 kilometre) from business district Los Angeles in Ontario, California. The voyages also include a halt at Merced Municipal Airport in Merced, California. Previously, scheduled service was provided by Air Midwest with voyages to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
