General Heriberto Jara International Airport or Veracruz International Airport (IATA: VER, ICAO: MMVR) is an international airport turn up at Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. It deals national and international air traffic for the town of Veracruz.

Expansion and Renovation Works

The airport has been late restituted and spread out in say to come across the turning claim. Some improvements have been added, such as the building of new halls inside the depot to adapt a larger figure of riders, so that the airport is able to manage the functioning of bigger aircraft, such as the Boeing 757.

As the airport depot has only 1 stage, it would have been real hard to present jetways; Therefore, new covered spans have been build, which link to also-covered airstairs and then to the aircraft. These new spans, which is able to travel as jetways, do the entering and setting down procesess easier and faster, while protecting the riders from the sound and condition. Only entrances 1-5 are fit out with this kind of spans. The depot exterior and inside have also been restituted, with a whole new architectural fashion. The airport is turn up at the fringes of the town of Veracruz, in a location known as "Las Bajadas". The airport is named after General Heriberto Jara Corona, one time Governor of Veracruz, from 1924 to 1927.
