Tulsa International Airport (IATA: TUL, ICAO: KTUL, FAA LID: TUL) is a city-owned public-use airport turn up 5 land mile (eight kilometre) nor'-east of the central downtown of Tulsa, a town in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, United States.
The 138th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard is found here. The airport is the global upkeep home base for American Airlines.
During WWII, Air Force Plant No. three was built on the southeast side of the airport, and Douglas Aircraft constructed several types of aircraft there. After the conflict, this installation was used by Douglas (after McDonnell Douglas) and Rockwell International (after Boeing) for aircraft constructing, alteration, fix, and research. IC Corporation currently constructs school bus in division of this construction.
In Addition, American Airlines owns and functions a multi-check maintinence installation on the East side of the field, adjacent to the 138th Wing OKANG installation. It is American's biggest maintinence installation in the United States, it also supplies similar services under contract for several international air hose.
