(C.L.A.S.S.A.) constituted the 1st air link up between the Spanish mainland and the Canary Islands using a Ford 4-AT Trimotor (M-CKKA), which start from Getafe, Madrid to the Los Rodeos field via Casablanca, Cape Juby and Gando in Gran Canaria.

After the final place of the airport had been make up one's mind, monetary funds were garnered between 1935 and 1939 to construct a little depot and set about spreading out the landing strip which would get Los Rodeos .
