Ştefan cel Mare Airport (IATA: SCV, ICAO: LRSV) is an airport turn up in north-eastern Romania, 11 kilometre (seven land mile) east of the municipality of Suceava, close to the city of Salcea. It assists both Suceava and Botoşani counties. The airport has 6 parkland stand up.
History
Ştefan cel Mare Airport opened in 1932 as Suceava Airport. Commercial services set about in 1960, with TAROM and in 1963 the landing track was paved. Services by TAROM elongated until 2001, nevertheless, were restarted in 2004. During this time period, the airport was assisted by Angel Airlines. In March 2005 airport was renamed "Ştefan cel Mare" after Stephen the Great and was opened to international traffic for the 1st clip.
There are current programmes to continue the landing track to 3400 m, whilst continuing it to 100 m,. If the labor goes through, the works should get down in the springtime of 2009.
City Access
There is a route connecting the airport to DN29, the main route between Suceava and Botoşani.
Buses to Suceava are supplied, alongside with cab, at the time of reaching.
