Concesión Aeropuerto El Tepual S.A. (IATA: PMC, ICAO: SCTE) more better known to the public as Tepual Airport, is a commercial and private aviation installation which assists the touristic area  of Puerto Montt, Chile.

History

The building of the landing track at El Tepual airport was finished in April 1960, and got the location of a great lift after the a magnitude 9.5 seism hit the area  on May 22, 1960. The airport with its original depot was officially kick off in 1963. After Augusto Pinochet go forth Chile's Presidency, a programme was put on the run by the new authority to do new airport depots and state highway across the state, so that Chile's little towns is able to have more better connexions with Santiago. Puerto Montt, alongside with Calama and other little area , were amongst the most profited locations out of the figure of Chilean towns named on the labor.

Puerto Montt had turn up to be a popular tourist fall back, and, during the early 1990s, the figure of international holidaymakers (especially those from neighbour states such as Argentina and Brazil) turned substantially. In 1995, the new airport depot eventually opened, with Lan Chile as the biggest air hose corporation winging there.

Facilities

El Tepual is 1 of a large figure of jetports in South America that still has some riders walk on the landing track, step on plane steps and get into the air hose. This is possible because El Tepual deals visible light traffic figure and having riders walking on to or off from their plane onto the landing track does not present much lay on the line to El Tepual riders. The airport does have 2 jetways (also named plane burrow) as good.

The airport has a eating house, a rub down installation, in-migration business office and area  for disenabled mortals, amongst other installations.

Capability

El Tepual airport is able to only supply to planes the size of a Boeing 707 or little. Boeing 737s, Airbus 319s and Airbus 320s are especially prominent amongst planes that wing to the airport.

In 2004, the IDC judged that 1 million riders passed through the airport's entrances, surviving Chile's 2nd busiest. IDC anticipates that aggregative to come up to 4 million riders by 2010.
