Phuket Airport

It is turn up in the northward of Phuket Island, 32 km from the center of Phuket City. The airport plays a leading part in Thailand's touristry industry, as Phuket Island is a popular fall back destination. It is the 2nd busiest airport in Thailand in terms of riders (but not load), after Suvarnabhumi Airport in the Bangkok metropolitan area .
The airport has 2 depots. Terminal one is used for international voyages and Terminal two is used for national voyages. The airport has several stores, a duty free store and eating house.
Past incidents and accidents
- 15 April 1985 : A Thai Airways Boeing 737-2P5 crashed, assassination all 11 individuals on board. The crew had put out a wireless name informing air traffic command that both engines had flared out. No do is able to be find out for the engine closure.
- 31 August 1987 : Thai Airways Flight 365 crashed into the sea on final draw close, assassination all 83 individuals on board. The probe find out airplane pilot mistake as the primary do.
- 16 September 2007 : One-Two-GO Airlines Flight 269 getting on a scheduled voyage from Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport crashed after hitting the landing track to a great extent while trying to bring down in driving rainfall and severe air current shear. The McDonnell Douglas MD-82 skidded off the landing track, split into 2, and set off into fires after an apparent try to put to death a wave-off minutes before touchdown. There were 123 riders and seven crew on board. 90 pop off and 40 were wound.
