Orly Field Airport
Airport Directory » France » Paris » Orly Field AirportParis - Orly Airport (French: Aéroport de Paris - Orly) (IATA: ORY, ICAO: LFPO) is an airport turn up partly in Orly and partly in Villeneuve-le-Roi, southward of Paris, France. It has voyages to towns in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, and North America. Prior to the building of Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly was the independent airport of Paris. Even with the switch of most international traffic to Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly stays the busiest French airport for domestic traffic and the 2nd busiest French airport aggregative in terms of rider embarkments.
Orly Airport continues over 15.3 km² (5.9 sq. Land mile) of district. It straddles 2 départements and 7 communes:
- Essonne département (61.7%): communes of Paray-Vieille-Poste (27.4%) (West Terminal and one-half of South Terminal), Wissous (15.5%), Athis-Mons (13.6%), Chilly-Mazarin (2.8%), and Morangis (2.4%)
- Val-de-Marne département (38.3%): communes of Villeneuve-le-Roi (22.5%) and Orly (15.8%) (one-half of South Terminal)
Management of the airport, nevertheless, is entirely under the dominance of Aéroports de Paris, which also oversees Charles de Gaulle Airport, Le Bourget Airport, and several little airports in the suburban area of Paris.
Orly Airport has 2 depots: westward and southward. They are link up to Paris by state highway, Air France jitneys, RATP jitneys (named OrlyBus) and the Orlyval automatic subway system service, which links to the Antony (Paris RER) station. A streetcar track link up is planned for the near time to come.
