Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport (German: Flughafen Paderborn/Lippstadt) (IATA: PAD, ICAO: EDLP) is an airport in Germany that assists the Ostwestfalen-Lippe area in North Rhine-Westphalia. While the name connotes a place within the town of Paderborn or the city of Lippstadt, the airport is really turn up in the city of Büren, around 18 kilometre from Paderborn town center. Although the airport technically only assists the Ostwestfalen Lippe district, it is popular amongst inhabitants of a broader area due to the accessibility of free long-term parkland. It came into being in 1971 as the Flughafen Paderborn/Lippstadt GmbH, with over 1.3 million passing through the airport in 2004.
