Sandefjord Airport, Torp (Norwegian: Sandefjord lufthavn, Torp) (IATA: TRF, ICAO: ENTO) is an international airport in the municipality of Sandefjord, Vestfold southward of Oslo, Norway. It assists both as regional airport and as a low-cost airport for Eastern Norway.

In 2008 Torp had 1,572,942 riders, approximately 2 3rd locomoting internationally. Widerøe offer domestic voyages to Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Bodø and Tromsø while a figure of other air hose offer international voyages assisting the Vestfold/Telemark area . History

Sandefjord Airport, Torp was made after World War II using NATO monetary funds as a armed forces airport. After a while the airport also set out having civilian air hose, amongst others Norsk Air who functioned regional voyages to Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim using a fleet of Embraer aircraft. The air hose was subsequently taken over by Widerøe who functions the airport as 1 of its hubs.

After the building of Gardermoen, Norwegian dominances determined that Eastern Norway only take 1 airport. While Fornebu was closed, the municipalities of Stokke and Sandefjord set about functioning the airport on private ground, and in 1997 Ryanair say winging to Torp from its hub at London-Stansted. During the summertime of 2006 the airport was sold from the Royal Norwegian Air Force to the airport functioning corporation. But Moss Airport, Rygge has also had permission for private commercial airport functioning, and may get a rival for Torp as a low-cost destination.

Future programmes

In June 2006 the airport make up one's mind to put NOK 24 million to spread out the depot. The check-in has been a bottle cervix, and the enlargement will give the airport a capacity of 2.5 million riders per yr. The airport is also working on spreading out the taxi strip.
