Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (Russian: Аэропорт Толмачёво) (IATA: OVB, ICAO: UNNT) is located in the city of Ob, 16 kilometre from heart of Novosibirsk, an industrial and scientific centre in Siberia, Russia's 3rd biggest town. Operations get down on July 12 1957 with the 1st rider voyage of Tupolev Tu-104 from Novosibirsk to Moscow. The airport was owned by United Tolmachevo Aviation Enterprise and Ministry of Civil Aviation of the USSR until 1992. The airport then went a joint stock corporation in 1995, with 51% owned by the province.
There is a 3,600 m (11,811 foot) active agent landing track in Tolmachevo Airport and another 3,605 m landing track under building, alongside with two rider depots, one freight depot and 61 aircraft stand up. The international depot was restituted in 1997. Tolmachevo Airport is also the 1st Russian airport to have ISO 9002-96 certification.
More than 2,1 million riders passed through the airport in 2008.
