Ningbo Lishe International Airport (IATA: NGB, ICAO: ZSNB) (simplified Chinese: 宁波栎社国际机场; pinyin: Níngbō Lìshè Guójì Jīchǎng) is the principal airport assisting Ningbo, a leading town in the Yangtze River Delta district and the second biggest town in the district of Zhejiang.

In 2008, the airport dealt 3,574,352 riders, ranking 30th in China. Ningbo airport was also the 26th busiest airport in China in terms of freight traffic.

History

Ningbo 's 1st airport was opened for civil service on November 16, 1984 when a CAAC Antonov AN-24 aircraft district at a armed forces field (宁波庄桥军用机场) in Ningbo

In 1985, the Central Government okayed the building of Ningbo Lishe Airport. On June 30, 1990, the new airport opened for service and got the 1st polite only airport in Zhejiang. The building cost of the airport was RMB 126 million.

In July 1992, the airport opened for international service and the 1st international service was opened to Hong Kong afterward the same yr. In November 1998, service to Macau with onwards code-share connexion to Taipei and Kaohsiung set about. International freight voyages also set about by the finish of 1998.

Foreign investing

The airport's operator signed a strategical partnership understanding on June 10, 2005 with Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport under which it will sell a 25% hazard to the German airport operator.

Facilities

A new rider depot was opened on October 8, 2002 at a building cost of RMB 770 million. The new depot has an one-year capacity of 3.8 million riders. It is able to deal 1,700 riders at maximal per 60 minute. The departure lounge busies 43,500 m². in area . The new apron busies an area  of 87,000 m². The new depot also has 16 departure entrances and seven jetways. The new parkland installation related has 360 parking zone.

Transportation
