Muscat International Airport (once Seeb International Airport) (IATA: MCT, ICAO: OOMS) is the independent airport in Muscat, Oman. It is the hub for the national bearer Oman Air. The distance from Old Muscat is 30 kilometer and it is 15km from the briny residential neighborhoods. At the minute the airport is being spread out and modernised. The airport shall be upgraded to twelve million-passenger capacity during the initial level and afterwards to 48 million. The initial level is scheduled for pass completion in 2011. The airport was renamed on February 1, 2008 from the previous name, Seeb, to Muscat International Airport.

Expansions

The enlargement labor for Muscat International Airport will include a new modern depot and a new landing track that is able to manage the new Airbus A380. It will include a new control tower with a tallness of 90 metres, 32 aerobridges, a new load termial and duplicate 6,000 auto infinites.
