The airport is now undergoing major redevelopments which include a new 110,000 sq foot (10,000 mtwo) depot construction with appartment for enlargement. The new depot will host an observation deck on the 2nd floor, as good as a eating house for tested and unscreened riders. Also, second-story burdening spans shall be in location for easier burdening and dropping of riders. Once the new depot is complete, there shall be a independent concourse, and 2 open air concourses. Coinciding with the building of a new depot, a new control tower shall be made as good. The new $3.6 million, 100 human foot tall control tower will use a state-of-the-art geothermic system to heat energy and cool the construction. The tower should be finished by late 2008.
Three fixed-based operators (FBOs) now furnish civil aviation services on the field: Medford Air Service, Jet Center MFR, and Million Air (which late finished its new three-story corporate depot). Horizon Air late increased the figure of CRJ700 rider jet plane assisting Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport, with non-stop voyages to Portland (PDX) and Seattle/Tacoma (SEA). Effective March 2009, Horizon Air added a 2nd non-stop voyage to and from Las Angeles (LAX). Non-stop service to Denver (DEN) and San Francisco (SFO), serviced by United Express, has also increased its rider capacity applying CRJ700's as good. Allegiant Air, which services Las Vegas and Phoenix-Mesa, denoted February 18th, 2009 that they will add a 3rd destination to the Rogue Valley-Medford International Airport. Beginning May 1st, 2009, Allegiant Air will offer low-cost non-stop voyages to Los Angeles. The Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport was 1 of twelve airports to have this service.
