Dane County Regional Airport (IATA: MSN, ICAO: KMSN, FAA LID: MSN), also known as Truax Field, is a joint civil-military commercial airport turn up 5 land mile (eight kilometre) nor'-east of the heart of Madison, a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. It has 3 landing track and in 2006 it assisted over 1.6 million riders.
Truax Field was named in honour of Wisconsin-native Lieutenant Thomas L. Truax, assassination in a P-40 grooming accident in November 1941.
In 2006 the airport finished a $65 million enlargement that duplicate the size of it of the depot, built in a Frank Lloyd Wright-influenced bush fashion. New characteristics include more eating house and retail area post-security, an art judicature, and both business organisation and home lounges. As has been the example in the past decennium the airport has again been adding additional parkland since 2007.
The airport is place to both the Wisconsin Army National Guard and the Wisconsin Air National Guard.
The fixed ground operator (FBO) is Wisconsin Aviation, which bought the plus of the former FBO, Four Lakes Aviation, in 1994.
