Kuressaare Airport (IATA: URE, ICAO: EEKE) is an airport in Estonia. The airport is located three kilometer from the city of Kuressaare on Saaremaa island.
The 1st landing track was built in the second half of the 1930s. The airport was opened officially on six March 1945. The air traffic increased during the next yr, and between 1949 and 1953 there were from ten to 14 voyages every solar day between Kuressaare and Tallinn. During this time period around 400 riders winged to or from Kuressaare each solar day. The airport didn't acquire electricity until 1958. The present depot construction was built in 1962. The 2nd landing track 05/23 was built in 1976 and on 1999 the independent landing track was continued. The depot construction was modernised in 2007.
The airport is owned by AS Tallinna Lennujaam. It also owns the field at Ruhnu.
