Komatsu Airport (小松飛行場, Komatsu Hikōjō?) (IATA: KMQ, ICAO: RJNK) is an airport turn up in the town of Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. It assists the southern Ishikawa Prefecture including the capital Kanazawa (which has its IATA town codification QKW), and the northern Fukui Prefecture including the capital Fukui.

Overview

Japan Air Self-Defense Force Komatsu Base percentages its landing track with general aviation. Its taxi strip are on both sides of the landing track. The inland-side taxi strip is used by the JASDF and the sea-side 1 is used by the polite depot. The airport is assisted by Boeing 747-sized airliners and is the biggest airport in the Hokuriku district. It is fit out with an ILS, letting fewer cancellation of services during the snowy wintertime calendar month.

Its landing track surface has been finished beef up upgrades to enable non-stop bottom voyages to and from Europe and North America in late 2006.

Japan Air Self-Defence Force Komatsu Base

Komatsu Airbase (小松基地, Komatsu Kichi) is an airbase of Japan Self-Defense Force opened in February 1961.

The "Airspace G" is a big grooming air space over the Sea of Japan to the northward of the ground.

In the Kōkū-sai (Air Festival) maintained every September characteristics present voyages by scrapper and recoverers ground in Komatsu as good as the Blue Impulse acrobat voyage squad.

Acceptance of grooming United States Air Force

In July 2006, The city manager of Komatsu town stated the head of Japan Defense Agency (currently the Minister of Defense) the town would accept preparation of the USAF aircraft. The neighbor municipalities also officially denoted the credence. USAF aircraft came on 16 May 2007 for a joint grooming with the JASDF.
