King Island Airport (IATA: KNS, ICAO: YKII) is a little regional airport turn up near the city of Currie on King Island off the north west seashore of Tasmania, Australia. The airport is owned and functioned by the King Island Council.
Incidents and accidents
The airport was the location of a visible light airplane crash on 26 November 1998, when a Piper Lance crashed shortly after start on its fashion to Moorabbin, Victoria, assassination 3 Melbourne nurses on board. It was surmised that a strong blast of air current merely after start do the aeroplane to stall and crash.
