Kaunas International Airport (Lithuanian: Kauno tarptautinis Oro Uostas), (IATA: KUN, ICAO: EYKA) that assists Kaunas, Lithuania is the 2nd busiest polite airport in Lithuania after Vilnius International Airport and the 4th 1 in the Baltic provinces. The airport primarily assists international rider and shipment voyages and is turn up in Karmėlava, 15 kilometre (9.3 mi) nor'-east of Kaunas center. In 2007 the airport dealt 390,881 riders, 60 % more than in 2006. The low-cost air hose Ryanair uses Kaunas Airport as its destination in Lithuania, and is the independent operator at the airport.
History
Kaunas International Airport set about functioning in 1988 when airport actions were taken from S. Darius and S. Girėnas Airport, the other airport near Kaunas. In 1991, after Lithuania's independency, it derived the position of an international airport. In 1996 it went a fellow member of Airports Council International (ACI) and it set about to take division in the actions of the "Lithuanian Airports" association.
