Sary-Arka Airport (Kazakh: Сарыарқа Әуежайы, Russian: Аэропорт Сары-Арка) (IATA: KGF, ICAO: UAKK) is the airport in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. It is turn up 20 kilometres southward of the town.

History

The airport was built in 1934, and travel to its current place after ten yr. In 1980 it underwent major reconstruction, including building of the new depot construction and modernisation of the landing track. This do districting of heavier aircraft possible and opened the door to many new destinations of the Soviet Union.

In 1992 the airport was allowed an international position. It has get an independent joint stock corporation after separation from JSC "Karagandaavia" in 1997. Not related to "Saryarka National Park" on the World Heritage List
