Innsbruck Kranebitten Airport (IATA: INN, ICAO: LOWI) is the biggest airport in Tyrol in Western Austria. It deals regional voyages around the Alps, as good as seasonal voyages to other destinations. During the wintertime, action increases significantly, due to the high figure of skiers traveling to the district. It is the independent ground of Tyrolean Jet Services, Welcome Air and of Austrian Airlines' regional bearer Austrian Arrows.

The airport is about 2.5 land mile from the heart of Innsbruck. It is plugged in to the town and to the Hauptbahnhof (briny railroad terminal) by town jitney F. The journey runs every 15 min. and takes 18 min..

In 2007, the airport dealt 859,832 riders. In 2008, that figure increased to 969,474 riders, a 12.8% increase over the previous yr.

Innsbruck Airport is good known for having a hard draw close due to border terrain, disallowing sure aircraft types from functioning at the airport. http://www.austrocontrol.co.at/nut/content/lfa/Flugbewilligungen/Special_Performance_Procedures/LOWI/LOWI.shtml
