Herat Airfield (or Herat Airport) (IATA: HEA, ICAO: OAHR) is 6.5 land mile (10.5 kilometre) southeastward of Herat, merely east of the Herat-Farah route, close to Guzara in the Guzara District.
The airport was made by Americans in the late 1950s and bombed Allied pressures in 2001. Prior to the reaching of allied squeezes, the airport was a army base for scrapper and transport aircraft (likely Antonov An-26, Antonov An-32 and Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21).
It is currently used by the ISAF.
