Hana Airport (IATA: HNM, ICAO: PHHN, FAA LID: HNM) is a regional airport of the State of Hawai'i on the east shore of the island of Maui, 3 land mile (five kilometre) northwest of the unincorporated city of Hana. The airport covers 119 acres (0.5 km²) and has 1 landing track. It is principally a commuter train installation used by unscheduled air cab and civil aviation. As air traffic increases, the Hawai'i State Legislature will see hereafter improvements including the building of a taxi strip collimating the landing track, continuing of access road and enlargement of rider depots and parkland installations.
Scheduled commercial airline service supplied Pacific Wings was subsidised by the Essential Air Service programme until April 1, 2007, when Pacific Wings set about furnishing subsidy free service.
