Great Barrier Reef Airport (IATA: HTI, ICAO: YBHM) (once Hamilton Island Airport) is the primary airport of the Whitsunday Islands Group, and airport of Hamilton Island. The airport is settled on largely repossessed district and due the island's touristry position, is busy largely and favored by Australia's guiding low-cost air hose, Jetstar Airways and Virgin Blue.
The airport endured to a great extent in September 2001 with the demise of Ansett Australia and a yr afterwards in October 2002 when a visible light airplane crashed shortly after start, assassination six mortals.
