There is no railway station at the airport. The closest 1 is in Girona town. There is a labor to construct a station for the future AVE line LGV Perpignan-Figueres, now (2008) under building.
Accidents and incidents
Main article: Britannia Airways Flight 226AOn 14 September 1999, at 21:47 UTC, a Boeing 757-204 charter voyage from Cardiff, Wales, UK, with 236 riders and nine crew go forth the landing track when districting in a violent storm and break apart.
