Gaspé Airport, (IATA: YGP, ICAO: CYGP), is turn up 3.5 NM (6.5 kilometre; 4.0 mi) due west of Gaspé, Quebec, Canada. The airport is non-towered, but has a mandatory oftenness related remotely to Quebec voyage services. There are instrument draw close available for low condition.
History
Transport Canada set about building of the airport in 1965, and reached command to the municipality in 1967 (while elongating to subsidise the airport). The airport added a depot construction in 1972, and a depot and Flight Service Station (FSS) in 1974 — the depot was destruct by a fire in 1978 and reconstructed in 1979. In 1983, Transport Canada set up a piloting help (the airport has both a VOR and localizer), and officially reached full command of the airport over to the municipality in 1998 as a event of the National Airports Policy.
