Florø airport (IATA: FRO, ICAO: ENFL) (Norwegian: Florø lufthavn) is an airport assisting the city of Florø in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. It is turn up southward of the city center, on an area  of district named Florelandet. It had 141,194 traveler during 2005, make it the biggest regional airport in Norway.

Services from the airport are supplied by Danish Air Transport using ATR-42 turbo-propeller plane aircraft to Bergen and Oslo on public service duty contracts. The airport also has a heliport, used to transport force to oil platforms in the North Sea.

The airport is assisted by the city coach in Florø.

History

Flights with hydroplanes set about already in the 1930s. Plans for a land-based airport came in the 1950s, and in 1956 the construction of the depot set about, but pass completion of the airport was hold up when the Twin Otter plane did not acquire blessing for voyages during wintertime. However, Stortinget make up one's mind to fill out the airport in 1969 and the airport was opened on July 28, 1971 alongside with other regional airports in Sogn og Fjordane. The heliport was finished in 1994. An enlargement of the landing track from 800 m to 1199 m was finished in 2000.

The scheduled rider service to Florø was supplied by Widerøe from its 1971 opening until 2000 when Coast Air won the Public Service Obligation and took over. Since April 1, 2003 the rider services are supplied by Danish Air Transport. The loss of the contract do jobs for Widerøe since they had an operative and proficient found at the airport.
