Esquel Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto de Esquel) (IATA: EQS, ICAO: SAVE) is an airport in Chubut Province, Argentina assisting the town of Esquel. It is assisted by Aerolíneas Argentinas and LADE (Líneas Aéreas del Estado).


It was built in 1944, and was officially kick off on April 17, 1945. The new depot was build in 1978. The only landing track was paved in 1973, and re-paved in 1999 because it was severely hurt.

It has a 1,050m² rider depot, 96,500m² of landing track, and a 1,050m² depot.

Since 1998 it has been functioned by Aeropuertos Argentina 2000. In January 2008, 2,753 riders winged through Esquel Airport, and in 2007 24,892 riders.

Currently (May 2008) functioning suspended because of Volcanic Activities in El Chaitén, Chile
