Erie International Airport / Tom Ridge Field (IATA: ERI, ICAO: KERI) is a public airport assisting northwestern Pennsylvania and is turn up 5 land mile (eight kilometre) southwestward of the central downtown (CBD) of Erie, a town in Erie County. History
Prior to the events of September 11, 2001, the airport was at its tallness with US Airways mainline jet plane offering service to Pittsburgh and international service to Toronto. After 9/11, US Airways transitioned from 737s and DC-9s to regional jet plane service. As air service take a hop in the mid 2000's, the airport offered service on US Airways Express to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Charlotte; Northwest Airlink to Detroit; Continental Connection to Cleveland; and Delta Connection to Cincinnati and Atlanta. The airport is reportedly looking to spread out service to New York, Chicago, and many other towns. The airport has been assisted by many air hose over the yr. US Airways stopped Charlotte service in 2006. Delta Air Lines stopped service to Atlanta on six September 2007. In early 2008, US Airways stopped Erie-Pittsburgh service. As of August 2008, US Airways Express service has been cut down to 3 voyages a solar day to Philadelphia; Northwest Airlink offers 5 voyages a solar day to Detroit; and Continental Connection offers 4 voyages a solar day to Cleveland. Current News
