Dala Airport or Borlänge Airport (IATA: BLE, ICAO: ESSD) is located southeastward of Borlänge, a town in the Dalarna district of Sweden. It is also 20 min. from the town of Falun.
History
The field was made during the second World War and was modernised in 1961. In mid 1960 the 1st polite air hose arrived at Dala Airport. 1972 saw the new depot construction complete and Dala Airport AB took over the airport. The field was owned by the Swedish armed forces until 2007. The all-time-high figure of riders was 210.000 in 1989. In 2006 there was approximately 33.000 riders, worsening from previous yr. The ground for the worsen is faster railroad train (not much faster) to Stockholm (the most eminent connexion), which also halt at Arlanda from yr 1999. Many riders Borlänge-Arlanda elongate on other voyages, and the railroad train is a good option from Borlänge. The route to Stockholm has been better but not much. Higher cost cognisance amongst corporations has brought also.
