Biju Patnaik Airport (IATA: BBI, ICAO: VEBS), also known as Bhubaneswar Airport, is located in the town of Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India. It is now the only leading airport in Orissa. It is named after the former Chief Minister of Orissa Biju Patnaik, who was also a famed flyer and rebel.


Planned international airport

In holding with the rapid pace of industrial enterprise taking location in Orissa, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has late denoted a project for the building of a new incorporated international airport complex at Bhubaneswar by 2010.
