Belgaum Airport (IATA: IXG, ICAO: VABM) is an airport turn up 10 kilometre (6.2 mi) of Belgaum, Karnataka, India.
The airport takes an extension of 800 m (2,600 foot) so as to bring down Boeing 737-800 or A320 types of airplanes. The landing track is already broad enough but the length is the restraint. The 2nd taxi strip near the emergency service enclave is under building and after linking it to the independent apron it will supply to VIP depot. The present apron is also limited for Avro or ATR. To let a Boeing it will takes a little enlargement on either southeast or southwest side of old taxi strip by at smallest 80 m (260 foot) by 100 m (330 foot). Work on enlargement of the Belgaum airport is on full swing.The authority has been able to get all the 298 acres around the airport claimed to upgrade it and is ready to mitt them over to the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
