Båtsfjord Airport (IATA: BJF, ICAO: ENBS) (Norwegian: Båtsfjord lufthavn) is a little regional airport assisting Båtsfjord in Finnmark, Norway. The airport is plugged in to the city center by path 894. BJF is functioned by Avinor and had 10,110 riders in 2004 .

The airport has a individual asphalt landing track with a districting distance of 1000 m and amounted 03/21. The depot includes the airport's control tower and is able to deal approximately 120 riders per 60 minute. The apron is able to comfortably adapt three Dash eight aircraft. All services from the airport are functioned by Widerøe with Dash-8-100 aircraft. All paths, though not nessesarilly direct, wing to either Kirkenes Airport, Høybuktmoen, Hammerfest Airport and Tromsø Airport. From Kirkenes Airport, Høybuktmoen there is direct voyages to Southern Norway. The paths to Båtsfjord are functioned on a public service duty with the Norwegian Government.

History

The 1st airport opened in Båtsfjord as division of the building of a regional airport web in Northern Norway in 1978. But because of safety ordinances a new airport had to be build, and the new airport opened on October 29, 1999. The old Båtsfjord Airport was the last airport to be serviced with Twin Otter aircraft by Widerøe, all other regional lines exchange to Dash eight in the mid 1990s.
