Ugolny Airport (Russian: Аэропорт Угольный) (also Leninka, Ugolnyye Kopi, Ugolnoye) (IATA: DYR, ICAO: UHMA) is a mixed-use armed forces and polite field in Siberia turn up 11 kilometre east of Anadyr. The field was originally build sometime in the 1950s as a level ground for intercontinental bombers such as the Tupolev Tu-95 and Tupolev Tu-22M (as the so-called 'take a hop' airport), but during the Cold War yr it go the primary hub for civilian voyages in the Chukotka district.
Though the Soviet-built Ilyushin Il-62 was a workhorse of the path from Moscow Domodedovo International Airport to Anadyr for many decenniums, sometime in 2006 or 2007 Transaero set about location US-built Boeing 767-300 aircraft on the path. There is occasional charter aircraft service from Nome, Alaska to Anadyr.
Anadyr's history as a bomber found dates dorsum to the 1950s and the Russian Air Force's OGA (Arctic Control Group) is responsible for back up the installation.
